Schedule
Take a look at THIS PDF page to see the 2016 Winter Fiesta Flyin schedule. Alix Parra spent a lot of time preparing days full of activities to keep us enjoying all there is to do in the Acapulco/Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa area.
Money
Bring Pesos. Although US dollars are often accepted, it’s easiest to pay with Pesos.
Let your credit card company know where you will be traveling to.
Preferably, you have a credit card that does not charge exchange fees and has a good exchange rate. Charge in Pesos and your bank will give you a good exchange rate.
Telephone Service
Each service provider has a different cost structure for Mexico. I have Verizon and they added a feature to my plan that simply charges me $2 for 24 hours of use. If I sent a text, made a phone call or used data, I would get a text saying the 24 hours has begun. My phone worked as if I where in the U.S.
Safety
During my trip in 2016, I had no worries whatsoever about feeling safe or if my plane would be safe. I brought my own tie-down straps and would secure my plane at each airport. Actually, it feels particularly safe with the young soldiers hanging around all the time.
